As you probably know already, although I’m from and based in North Wales, I spend a lot of my time over in Dublin. I love the city, but it’s also home to good friends/ family, birth place of my Mr and pretty much my second home. I’m just back after a visit and thought I’d share with you what I picked up at Inglot this time. I didn’t get much, just a little top up really, but it includes some of my holygrail Inglot products, that in my opinion everyone should own!
For those of you not familiar with Inglot, they’re a Polish brand, founded over 30 years ago and now available worldwide, in store and online. Inglot are all about high pigment and high quality, but at fair/ affordable high end prices. Huge choice of colour, texture and product means there’s something for everyone and caters for novices and pro’s alike. (For those of you who are also in the industry, they do also offer a professional Makeup Artist discount too, always good!) Although I’ve been into most Dublin stores/ counters at some point or other, I usually go to the Pro Store on South Anne Street (just off Grafton Street) or my local Inglot counter in the Dundrum Town Centre (which is where I picked up these bits)…in my experience, the guys from both are so lovely and always happy to help/ talk you through anything you’re not sure about! So anyway, here’s what I picked up…
L-R: Without Duraline: 86, 118. With Duraline: 86, 118.
The Inglot pigments are some my absolute favourite to use! There’s a few different types/ formulas and finishes (everywhere from glitter to matte and all in between and so many colour options!) but my first choice has to be their AMC Pure Pigment Eye Shadows (UK / Ire). They can be sheered out beautifully or mixed with Duraline (their mixing medium…more about that later) for high impact and an ultra intense payoff! This particular pigment type contains Sponge Gourd Oil and almost 90% pure pigment. The shades I picked up this time are the 86 (a duocrome burgundy orange with pink reflects) and 118 ( a light, bright and warm toned yellow gold sparkle). I personally love mattes, but these are far too pretty not to own and perfect for a spotlight/ halo eye look (read more about how to here).
I always pick up a few of the Inglot AMC Eyeliner Gels (UK / Ire), they’re my go to gel liner of choice for my pro kit as well as my own makeup bag. It comes in 28 rich, creamy and insanely pigmented shades, both matte and metallic finishes. They’re long wearing, crease proof and waterproof. My favourite way to use them (as well as for a killer winged liner!) is in the waterline, for a smokey and intense finish to any eye makeup. This time, I picked up 2 of the cult favourite 77 (the most intense black you will ever use!) and a 68. The 68 is a light flesh tone matte, perfect for the waterline for a wide eyed look or it works really well to cut the crease too!
It’s actually a similar deal with the Inglot Duraline (UK / Ire), I have to have one on the go always and in my opinion, everyone should! It’s multi use perfection! It’s a waterless clear liquid mixing medium that can be used for so many things and has the power to turn any powder or pigment super intense and waterproof. As well as using it that way…it can be used as a glitter/ pigment glue, to sharpen/ clean up liquid/ gel liner, mixed in with foundation to give a glow and to give renewed life to dry gel liners and brow pomades, extending their life and making them creamy and bendable once more. Like I told you…perfection!
Last but not least…I’ve tried the AMC Face & Body Illuminator (UK / Ire) before and really liked it, but decided to pick up one of the new shade extensions. There’s 8 shades to choose from, including the 2 new shades, 69 (a rich bronzed gold which would look gorgeous on a tanned medium to dark skin tone) and 70 (a true champagne) which is the shade I opted for. It’s an oil free liquid illuminator…I love that’s it’s oil free so it doesn’t overload your skin and make makeup slip and slide! Obviously you can use it face and/ or body and either mixed with your foundation or underneath. You can use it (carefully!) over the top, but I prefer powder highlight and don’t tend to use it this way anyway. It’s not super glittery and underneath makeup just gives you the most perfect healthy glow from within!
I’m sure I’ll be visiting Inglot and stocking up again very soon!
