NEW Catrice Luminice Highlight & Blush Glow Palette Review…Cruelty Free, Vegan & Affordable Glow

Catrice Cosmetics is one of my favourite affordable/ drugstore beauty brands and here’s a few reasons why…the brand is 100% cruelty free and PETA approved, they have a huge selection of Vegan products, they’re trend aware, big on quality and of course affordable…another thing I love is that they seem to try and keep their packaging to a minimal too, which to me (as much as I do get suckered in by pretty packaging sometimes) is a big plus point…I hate waste and overly unnecessary packaging.

Catrice have loads of new season products in store at the moment, but I just wanted to talk about the Luminice Highlight & Blush Glow Palette in particular because if you see it, in my opinion it’s well worth picking up! It’s actually available in two colour waves, the one I’ve been using which is the Highlight & Blush Glow 010 Rose Vibes Only and also the Highlight & Bronze Glow 020 Feel Gold. Both are beautiful actually, but after swatching, the fact that I’m pretty fair and generally prefer a matte bronzer had me way more drawn to the blush version!

It’s a really cute looking palette…high quality marbled paper packaging with rose gold metal detailing and a decent enough integrated mirror (although I don’t tend to use mirrors in palettes often if at all, it’s handy to have just in case and I know a lot of you do like a mirror). It’s compact, lightweight and I really like the idea of three shades…two shades of highlight and a radiant blush. They’re gorgeous individually or mixed together. The blush in this palette actually reminds me so much of NARS Orgasm, so if you’re looking for a cruelty free and/ or affordable alternative/ dupe you couldn’t go far wrong with this at less than €8. These palettes are Vegan too.

All three powders are pigmented (but not overly so), smooth and blend beautifully on to the skin with no glitter at all just a real dewy glow. They build nicely and I really like how you can get a subtle lit from within (using a fluffier brush and building up product gradually) or beaming glow by using a firmer brush to really polish it on to the skin and even post setting spray/ with a spritzed brush if you really want that wet look highlight look. It’s a versatile little palette and I’ve found myself reaching for it a lot. I feel like both colour waves of this would work for pretty much any skin tone just depending on if you prefer bronzy gold or you’re more of a champagne blush kinda person.

Catrice is available in Penneys (Primark) and pharmacies throughout Ireland and there’s a global store finder tool on their website if you’re wondering where near you stocks Catrice.

What are your Catrice favourites, is there anything I’m missing out on and need to try??
