Aldi have been killing it recently in terms of beauty…coming out with loads of cruelty free (from 1st January 2018 Aldi’s own beauty brand Lacura as well as own brand cleaning products are leaping bunny Certified and now guaranteed cruelty free across UK and Ireland which is amazing!) beauty products…many of which are affordable alternatives/ dupes to some of our cult high end favourites!
It’s going to be a pretty quick post this week and slim to no mention of Black Friday (sure you’ve probably heard enough/ already decided what to grab and what not if you do feel like shopping with some discounts!) but I wanted to get this up asap so you can hopefully get your mitts on anything you fancy or things for gifting before they sell out (they usually do)! I’m going to talk about a few of the products most likely to not hang around and sell out the fastest!
Starting with the only thing I picked up actually (following a pretty hefty Beauty Bay sale haul, so I showed some restraint and didn’t really need this let alone anything else but at least I’m pretty sure I’ll use this!) the Lacura Aloha Bronzer. Tonight Matthew, I’m going to be…I’m sure you can figure out it’s high end doppelganger ha ha! So yes, very Benefit Hoola (even down to the same amount of product) and a really good bronzer in it’s own right! Matte finish, easy to blend and the shade of this actually sits between the OG Hoola and Hoola Lite which in my opinion (and for my fair skin tone, although fair to medium skin tones could wear this it definitely wouldn’t be enough colour if you’re any darker) is actually better and way more natural looking on the skin. At £/€5.99 it’s pretty much a whole 20 quid cheaper than the Benefit version too! Worth picking up!
Also new in we have…
✖️ Lacura Blush £/€5.99 – comes in one suits all ‘universally flattering’ shade and very similar to NARS Orgasm Blush.*
✖️ Lacura Too Legit Mascara £/€5.99 – Aldi’s version of Benefit They’re Real Mascara*? The packaging and applicator brush are almost identical.
✖️ Lacura Broadway Shape & Glow £/€7.99 – if you’re a fan of Charlotte Tilbury’s Film Star Bronze & Glow*, you might want to check this one out! (Charlotte Tilbury is also cruelty free)
✖️ Lacura Snapshot Ready Primer £/€5.99 – Similar to Smashbox Photo Finish Primer* (also cruelty free but nearly 5 times the price!)
There’s quite a few skincare dupes in store at the moment too that are worth checking out! With Aldi’s Lacura range, it’s all in the packaging and name…you can usually figure out an item’s high end counterpart without too much guess work! Yes not original, but it’s clever marketing and so handy for finding the right dupe you’re looking for. With the majority of their products being pretty universal, they’d make great stocking fillers for a beauty loving friend or fam member (or yourself let’s be real)!
Available at Aldi in store and online NOW!

I remember seeing this post a few weeks ago and tonight went ott in the middle aisle showing no restraint! I’ve ended up buying lacura aloha bronzer, blush, too legit mascara and their naturals eye pallette in intense which came out Thursday. Can’t wait to try them out!
Yes Jayne!! Ha ha! Aldi have really stepped up their beauty game, I love it! And yes, the palettes look great…let me know how you find them! 🙂
When will Shape&Glow Charlet Tilbury blog be available in Irish Stores?
Hi Elizabeth! It should have been out already with the rest of the Lacura special buys. These things can sell out really quickly, but I’d just check your local stores when you’re next going past…you’ll often find a few lurking in those middle isles 🙂 (I don’t think they’re online anymore, but it’s worth checking in store!) Hope you manage to track one down!
