Is this really the holy grail of all eyeshadow palettes? You know what…I don’t know about that right now, nor do I care, all I know is, I can’t keep my eyes off it! It’s such a pretty palette and I thought you might appreciate it’s beauty as much as I do! Let’s take a proper look…
The Holy Grail Pro Eyeshadow Palette is the latest (and limited edition for summer) eyeshadow offering from Violet Voss Cosmetics. Violet Voss Cosmetics is a US cruelty free cosmetics company based in California. I love their 3D faux mink lashes and some other bits too, glitters, liquid lipsticks etc, but hadn’t tried any of their eyeshadows before this, so was excited to see if I’d be just as pleased with them!
The Holy Grail Palette is one of those highly sought after, sells out in minutes (literally!) launches, so was lucky to even grab one in the first place! It’s been launched and restocked a few times now too, same thing every time. I can see why this relatively new palette is already so hyped up and highly coveted…it’s beautiful! I don’t think the many online pictures do it justice!
The Holy Grail Palette retails at $42/ £34.50/ €41 (approx). For 20 highly pigmented, pro quality, smooth, blendable shadows, in my opinion, that’s amazing! The palette contains a great selection of textures…mattes, metals and satins and they’re full size (1.8g) pans too, so plenty of product for the money. All 3 textures seem to have the same buttery intensity and blend like a dream! A really good selection of everyday neutrals, stronger shades and a few more unusual tones, ‘So Jelly’ for example, a dreamy light peach with pink duo chrome, yum! I’ve heard a few people say that the only shade this palette is ‘missing’ is a black, which is true, it doesn’t have one clearly, but with other dark, rich and super pretty options, I’m cool with that!
The Holy Grail Palette (warm tones) is one of 3 Violet Voss Pro Eyeshadow Palettes available. There is also the Drenched Metals Palette, packed full of metallic cooler toned delights and also the limited edition Violet Voss X Laura Lee (LA based beauty YouTuber. check out her channel here) palette, mainly warm also, but with a few carefully chosen complimentary cool tones in there too for good measure! Both others are gorgeous looking palettes, but I’d always still choose the Holy Grail out of the three first…the majority in agreement too I see as it’s so hard to catch it in stock! Check out the swatches…I’m in love!
The packaging is cardboard, yes, but I actually quite like that, as long as it feel sturdy and protects the product inside (which this one does), it makes things lighter weight, less bulky and perfect for travel, which I do a good bit of! It’s sleek black, matte packaging (with gold lettering) does attract the odd finger smudge/ mark, but I have found those to be easily removable with just a dry tissue. I do really like the look of this palette. I tend to use the same old little compact mirror to do my own makeup in, it’s like an essential to my makeup going right, ha ha, but this palette does have a large, good quality mirror in it, so again, great for travel/ doing makeup on the go. It’s a fun (check out those shade names! Ha ha), but totally wearable palette and would suit/ look great on any colour eyes, especially though, those with blue or green eyes!
The Violet Voss Holy Grail Palette is well worth picking up. Unfortunately, at the moment, it’s pretty much sold out everywhere, including the official US site! I would suggest giving Violet Voss a follow on social media for future info/ updates, but also two of my favourite and most shopped at (and only UK/ Ireland Violet Voss stockists!) online beauty stores, Cocktail Cosmetics and BeautyBay* as they have both stocked it before and it’s a possibility that they will again! Sign up to any alerts they have available too so you’re among the first to get the lowdown about this and also other lust worthy beauties! You don’t want to miss out!
Did you manage to get it too? What are your thoughts…do you love it as much as I do? Or if not…are you feeling you pretty much need it in your life now? 😉
